It is unclear exactly which couple is depicted in this statue, however, for me they carry a deep spirit of the divine couple, twin gods Shu & Tefnut. They may also represent Rahotep and Nofret, Tamerut and Imenemipet, or Thutmose IV and his Queen Mother Tiaa.
