This Icon depicts the image of Ocotillo, Fouquieria splendens, iconic & sacred plant of the desert who Carrie’s the memories of the ancient ocean.

Ocotillo is mounted on a background of ocean waves, who’s spirit she invokes in the driest desert air.  Around her are rays of light emanating in all directions as the endless rays of the desert sun.
